Shauna M. Pick

Shauna Pick’s interest in natural health began several years ago while living in Japan. When seeking out her own health care practitioners, she discovered that the local community would often seek out natural health practitioners before resorting to any form of allopathic care.  Her experience with the power of natural health in all its forms–including massage therapy, acupuncture, natural health physicians and meditation–eventually inspired her to leave her career in the finance industry and become a massage therapist.

Originally from the East Coast, Shauna has a BA in Economics from the University of Mary Washington, and received her massage therapy certification from Cortiva – Chicago School of Massage Therapy.  Shauna specializes in dynamic deep tissue clinical treatments that incorporate myofascial release, myoskeletal alignment techniques, trigger point work, visceral massage and lymphatic work while also encouraging stress reduction and relaxation. Shauna’s most influential teachers are Erik Dalton, David Weinstock, Carol Osbourne, Tracy Walton and Rosita Arvigo.

She tries to create change by focusing on each client’s particular issues and working together with them to discover how each issue connects with and impacts the rest of the body.  Shauna’s intuitive sense of the body is informed by her longtime meditation practice and her adventurous travels around the world and into the wild.  She has found that the body is a powerful teacher, capable of providing insight if we are willing to listen.

Shauna lives with her husband and pup in Old Town Lafayette, CO. She works as a devoted full-time massage therapist at her office in Boulder, CO. Shauna’s areas of expertise are:
